Non stop Eating … what is going on?

8:30 AM I went straight for orange and nuts.

11:13 Another 2 oranges and nuts!! with added hemp seed butter and kiwi!

orange, hemp seed butter and kiwi

Rejuvelac throughout the day, 3 glasses full, one with lemon juice added.

From then on for hours it was nothing but spicy veggie crackers with Crane's raw honey. My mind is on bee pollen and the bee pollen is still between here and the apiary, shipped from Ontario. I did eat a very small dish of left over fettuccine with tomato/olives pesto. It tasted like more yet I only stuck with the crackers and honey, until I was saturated, a sudden want to stop although not at all feeling full. It feels like I have eaten like an elephant yet it doesn't seem that way when I look at what I have eaten. The calories are low. I think if chocolate was here I would eat it. In this moment I am thinking of making something with chocolate powder which is on hand; so are chocolate beans and I haven't touched them. Really though, nah, that would keep me up all night and I aim at early rising. There is a lot to accomplish tomorrow.

What I like is that craves for anything I consider unhealthy are like the odd little spark of thought that jumps in and out of my mind, now and then. Nothing frequent. Nothing that grabs me. The thoughts are more like light grey shadows, entertainment-- something to notice with a jab of a feeling, rather than something that drives me to eat it. The only thing that came to mind was a gluten free bagel and only because I saw one!

Craving more quantity of food

I don't know, suddenly I am streaming hungry, double appetite. Could be cuz it is cooler out today and last night. That generally turns up the volume on a need for food.

Breakfast don't recall the time- grapefruit with nuts, then I repeated a grapefruit with nuts, pecans and walnuts; gluttonous activity on my part, and I enjoyed; and Rejuvelac!

pink grapefruit with pecans and walnuts

Glass half full of Rejuvelac; unseen belly half full of Rejuvelac.

Lunch was a pear with hemp butter and kiwi with shavings of chocolate from yesterday. Wow that sure is a sweet treat!

a delectable daily desire of the current
pictures with the chocolate added didn't get taken, adding chocolate was a last moment whim

Supper was a mishmash of left overs with some cooked quinoa. I felt like a eating a hot dish this evening and quinoa was it. The fridge has to be cleared and a new week will begin. I got bored with what I was preparing, suddenly, end of the week. I am keen now to get some foods prepared and stored in the freezer, like tarts and veggie/fruit cakes, veggie burgers, neat balls, felafel, then prepare by the day sauces and tasty dishes to compliment them. The following week possibly a juice week. Don't know yet.

salads of the week with added fettuccine with tomato pesto, and kale salad with hemp seeds

A bowl of homogenized frozen fruits with coconut milk spooned over and some coconut crystals sprinkled on. I felt so full. That is a first full feeling I have experienced in some time. It was way too much to eat. See, like I said earlier, a gluttonous day!

Homogenized frozen fruit topped with coconut milk and coconut crystals.
Way filling; next time it will be half the size!

Chocolate, ooooh

11:31 AM Rejuvelac, and a bosc pear with hemp butter/kiwi- so easy to prepare and deelish to eat. Cut and do not remove the core or seeds, smear with the butter, top with kiwi and eat. (these are bosc pears with seeds that have not matured)

slice the bosc pear

smear with hemp butter
(manitoba harvest is a best brand, store it in the freezer)

top with slices of kiwi fruit

With shaved raw chocolate atop the dressed bosc pears it gave forth a deluxe dessert idea!

12:13 PM chocolate square- I have eyed these creatures up at Bliss and finally am trying one. I will be back for more!

raw chocolate square from Bliss Cafe

12:26 after the chocolate I developed a sudden crave for citrus fruit and ate a large juicy orange. I've noticed this connection in the past, as well.

large juicy organic orange!

2:30 PM a mango and more Rejuvelac

The rest of the mangoes from the case lots, were cut up and frozen in ice cube trays today. They come out smooth when homogenized into sorbet.

Supper, I didn't note the time or noted it and forgot!

sunflower pate, a felafel and Israeli Salad

Made a cantaloupe smoothie, nothing but cantaloupe and ice cubes… (by the garden diet people: Jinjee and Storm) It is surprisingly fresh-light-amazing!

To top it all off I later wanted some homogenized frozen fruit which I whipped up and ate it too. :)

what have you done to improve your health?

Why not start your day with----

9:00 AM Rejuvelac!
Then I prepared for later a double batch of sunflower pate, this time using fresh basil rather than dried dill.

Fresh parsley and basil sit in tap water that has been cleaned and regenerated with magnets and the cut herbs are thriving in it. North side of the magnet to clean, South side to regenerate.

I used the water on sprouted rye that then was set to make the rejuvelac and the fermentation process sped up. The rejuvelac grew the prettiest pure white mold. My garden plants are reaping the benefits of that batch. Possibly the sprouted rye kernels will grow in soil after making the rejuvelac. I haven't tried yet. So far all kernels get used to dehydrate into bread.

1:06 PM h'ordeurs that appealed to my creative instincts around food was a video Janet posted to FB of Bill Cummingham on the streets of New York photographing people leaning against Tiffany's, eating breakfast; another version of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's. That sparked my mind into creative mode.

1:24 PM mango

1:30 PM salads, coleslaw with beet julienned soaked in rejuvelac, and sunflower pate

the pictures didn't turn out! none of 'em. I sent them to the trash; they hurt my eyes with the vivid colours and cuts of the veggies when out of focus.

6:30 salad plate with crackers, and a bliss ball compliments from Mr. Roomy.

Got with some exercise today, biking and I was surprised at the strength I had and didn't have! All was fine up and down grades until the grade was too long and steep upwards that I am not yet reconditioned to up it on the bike, so I walked my bike and cooled down. That was at the end of the ride time or I would have biked more. It sure feels great to get back on the bike!

what can you do to improve your health?

front of the pie plate by 'Leanne Pizio' artist.

back of the pie plate, amazing, eh!
this is the front and back of the plate used for the cherry tart

Did you try the butternut squash salad by Mark Bittman? It has etched it's 'Mark' and it's taste into my mind. For all busy people it is quick, easy, satisfying.

This exercise of blogging my eating is yet another transformational experience.

8:00 AM Gawd I love the 'Rejuvelac'(!)

8:45 AM Bosc pear sliced smeared with hemp butter and crowned with kiwi.

3:05 PM butternut salad with added avocado and tomato; well that begs to be repeated!

That delicious salad was followed by a Mango. My 'need' for mango has ceased. I very much enjoy it when I eat it and then it leaves my mind, like anything else. What is topping my mind now is a strong urge to exercise, spending more time in nature, being on or around water, creating, nurturing my relationships - life is all about relationships in the full sense of the meaning.

7:00 PM coleslaw of julienned broccoli, carrot, weensy bit of onion, red cabbage mixed together with tahini dressing. What a surprising flavour! A hit! It was a made on a whim.

the coleslaw

In the fridge is julienned beet covered with rejuvelac, revving itself up for tomorrow.

Today I wasn't a whole lot hungry. More mercury detox surfaced which was relatively easy to work through. An early morning energy treatment scraped away any physical discomfort. Fascinating how that happens.

Fresh energy was soaring me into nearly a high in the late evening and I whipped up some frozen blueberries, strawberries, mango, banana into sorbet; with the help from my Champion Juicer, and I leave smiling. :)

A Fine and Finer Day!

7:50 AM Rejuvelac and a slice of cherry pie. Healthy says raw pie even for breakfast!

one little slice at a time

There are enough cherries refrigerated here to make another large tart or many small ones. Perfect!

After Breakfast it was--
Off to another market, centre of town where I chatted awhile with a chap who lives half the year in India. Dare I excite the gypsy who resides within.

When Whales come to mind, and they did today, I have an overwhelming enticement to visit them.

3:00ish PM 'Matcha Tea' from Bliss Cafe. Matcha, reishi, honey(I forgot to ask them to leave the honey out. It is sweet enough for me without the honey, and I still LOVED it), almond milk… a couple of other ingredients and I forget what they are.
The tea was enjoyable on it's own and I was a tad hungry so bit by bit, taste pleasure by taste pleasure I devoured a Lemon 'Bliss Ball'.

4:00ish PM at home, a glass of Rejuvelac.

hmmm no memory of the approx. time supper happened. I do have a clear memory of what I ate!! :) Priorities are in place.
The Butternut Salad 'Mark Bittman' shared was sharing top star spot with the veggie wraps. Both made supper a moment by moment gratifying experience. Then, yet another piece of pie. Thou shalt not have two cherry pies in the freezer at once. One must be et up.

a large Cherry Tart!

First off, think the words 'what do you do when someone mentions raw living food',
yum, yum, yum, yum yum yum yum yum yum, yum yum yum,
sing, clap your hands, boogie, jive, smile, laugh!

Please note the product advertised in the song is not raw, nor do I endorse or not endorse it or use it myself. (for clarification reasons only)

Laughter is an essential health promoting ingredient!

7:30AM Rejuvelac

9:40 AM pear with hemp butter

Moss Street Market

Moss Street Market

To market, to market, to buy herbs, flowers, veggies…

what a treat just seeing this booth

...and a surprise tie dye dress which I pick up tomorrow since I had spent all my money on food.

Posted with Gratitude for 'Planet Organic' and other local organic Vendors!

Two more errand destinations before home, Planet Organic and to get water.

12:45 PM Rejuvelac

1:14 PM lemon veggie crackers (been tardy about getting crackers photographed)

2:55 PM Green juice

6:00ish PM linguine cut from zucchini and sweet potato, marinara sauce with added shiktake mushrooms and olives, seed/nut cheese, lettuce and herbs flowered with the pretty colours of tasty petals.

What is food? Alive Glorious Vibrant Vibrating Colour!

oh, you been looking for, that tart? Cherry, made with walnuts, coconut crystals, coconut oil for the pastry; fresh bing cherries(I pitted which was way quicker than I imagined it would be), dates, freshly squeezed orange juice. This tart won't last long. Easy to make, easier to eat! Gosh darn it it's far out eye rolling, mouth gaping, amazing!

once upon a time a whole tart appeared, so did 3 people, and...

The pie plate is a 'Leanne Pizio" original. It I will photo and display later gators.
