Gorgeous Day!

This morning brought in yet another healing crisis. Every time I experience them and so far in a year there have been half a dozen or more, I feel progress is continuing. The healing crises are not so easy to meet with yet hands on healing certainly is a furiously quick assistant. The results of hands on healing and prayer never cease to amaze me. Tonight I reflect upon this morning and the fear thoughts that rose to the surface. My thoughts have been reframed and now I feel excited with the results I am getting thus far.

It was after noon before I ate anything, which started with 2 large juicy pink grapefruit together with bee pollen and pecans, one after another. Really it was all such a fine taste!

Sushi mid afternoon made from the rest of the sunflower pate, some of the mango chutney and romaine lettuce. While making the sushi I munched on a few green beans dipped in the tahini dressing. The sushi was a super nice tasting combination. It also was a messy combination to put together. Next time a like combo I will stack the ingredients differently for a less sloppy to roll effect.

After being in the sun gardening for a couple of hours I enjoyed an orange and some walnuts. I drank a lot of water today. I returned to gardening and didn't come in until 5 past 8:00 PM. It was tempting to eat some fruit. My decision was it would be best if I gave myself a reflexology treatment following the energy treatment on myself this morning, drink a glass of water while watching something on netflix and call it a night. This I will do as soon as I post today's entry.

It was a Gorgeous Day! It surely felt like a day out of my childhood!

Day of Unusual Hunger

I started feeling very hungry early in the day. Had no enthusiasm to do anything so gardening is put off until tomorrow.

This morning lemon and water it was, again. A tad earlier… more like 10:00 AM after which I munched a handful of pecans and after peeling a large grapefruit that I ate the sections dipped in bee pollen. Pecans are so amazingly delicious! Still on a bee pollen craze and will need to order some from Margaret Rose, in Ontario, soon. Lunch followed at about 2:00 PM. I ate the rest of the salad from 2 days ago with half an avocado added, oh and mixed in some mango chutney which added a whole new taste to the salad. I will definitely recreate that salad! I took no pictures of any of this food, this morning.

A bit later I had 3 cubes of coconut almond cream put through the juicer along with frozen grapes. That combo is very interesting. Added to it a macaroon. I think I ate only one. It was a scrumptious snack.

Hungry again for more which I ate at 7:17 PM. It was seaweed spaghetti, which I softened in warm water and mixed in sundried tomato & olive paste and chopped red onion topped with kosher yeast flakes. That was very filling and a tasty dish as well. Now I am enjoying a cup of Red Clover Blossom Tea and growing very sleepy.

Listen to Your Intuition

All I wanted in the morning was at 11:30 AM-- a large pink grapefruit with bee pollen and walnut halves.

Then it was off to the Moss Street Market where I purchased amongst garden plants, this beautiful edible bouquet. The flowering herbs are a visual aromatic treat before they become part of salad making.

Now here is where I crossed my intuition about what to eat and partially mixed that with 'thinking' I ought to eat up the left over salad from last evening. I really wanted avocado… so I sliced a whole one and added it to the salad that already had a bit of avocado in it. Also sunflower seeds sparingly sprinkled on top with sunflower pate topping the center, were added.

A while later I had a craving for cantaloupe so cut up a half of a fairly large one. I ate the whole half. I was already feeling quite full from the salad and feel strongly had I ate only avocado and cantaloupe, I would have been better off. The meal sent me to sleep for about 15 minutes! I know to listen to intuition, not always do I do it!

Happy Birthday Canada!

So far I am keeping on track with my foods and today was the best I have felt in a month. Seems the mercury throws off in bursts then lays dormant for a while again. Each time it discharges I can notice how much has actually cleansed out by the feeling in my body. The cleansing is clearing from lower to higher.

Morning started with 3 oz of lemon juice in 17 oz of water at 10:00 AM. Lemon became a very appealing food when I switched to raw. At one point I suddenly felt like eating a whole lemon and had no pucker reaction to it whatsoever. Every once and a while I feel like eating a lemon, since then.

At 11:30 AM I prepared a bowl of fruit-- apricot, orange, kiwi, peach, blueberries, with pecans ground and pieces, bee pollen and coconut water. WOW! And the colour combo was delightful to eat and absorb.

A meal at approximately 4:00 PM, commencing a tad earlier than 4, I think, and was expressed as the following: falafel, dehydrated veggie crackers, mango chutney, salad of black kale, romaine lettuce, orange, green onions, parsley, avocado, celery, kale sunflower pesto mixed with tahini dressing, along with some coconut water.

I love the reflection created by the sun shining through the glass. It splashes some colour into the coconut water.

I enjoyed eating a couple of macaroons while drinking the red clover blossom tea, a couple of hours after that fairly large meal. I had a very large glass of water after 10:00 PM and nothing but water after 8:00 PM. Yes! :)

The crackers I promised to post about are made from fine ground golden flax seed, fine ground dehydrated almond meal left over from making almond milk, Himalayan salt(a good source of calcium), tomato, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper, soaked whole golden flax seed, basil leaves, dehydrated at 100 degrees until crisp. I loaded the trays before going to bed and left them in over night.

It's the last day of June, 2011. wow

Hard to believe it really is the last day of June, already!

My eating for this fine day commenced at 10:30 AM with a drink of 4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed in 16 oz of water. I sipped at that whilst I made cracker dough to dehydrate; (yesterday I posted I would tell you about the crackers today… spin that off until tomorrow. They are made and dehydrating tho). When I realized I was out of two ingredients I grabbed a few pecan pieces to munch on while I made way to the store. It was then I noticed how much non snacking I am doing between meals. I can easily either forget to eat in the day or snack all day long instead of making a sit down meal. Currently I am making meals and eating in a flow of when I feel hungry or in need of slowing down the detox.

At precisely 3:58 PM I sat down to a lovely lunch of green beans, zucchini slices, a falafel ball, some sunflower pate with tahini sauce(dressing) on top. The combination was surprisingly wonderful tasting. I had a glass of coconut water as well.

Coconut water is a very high source of electrolytes. Keep that in mind when you reach for those bottled drinks with the 'don't want to ingest those ingredients', or when you are into competitive sports. You can get young fresh coconuts from Asian markets. If the store is busy they keep their shelves stocked with a steady flow of fresh product. The coconuts in Victoria have over doubled in price in the last few months. When I started buying them here they were $1.50 each .. Last week I paid $3.29 a piece.

The sunflower pate was made from soaked sunflower seeds, water, fresh lemon juice, garlic, himalayan salt, cayene pepper, red onion, fresh dil weed. The recipe is from 'Raw Food Made Easy' by: Jennifer Cornbleet.

After eating the plate full I felt more than satisfied!

It wasn't until 7:00 PM that I desired more to eat. As I prepared tomorrow's mango chutney I ate an orange. Afterwards I made up a dish of orange, kiwi, blueberries, grapes, bee pollen which I ate with a couple of coconut macaroons. It is after 8:00 PM now and I am good for the evening, sipping a cup of red clover blossom tea. It is a great blood purifier.

The photo is of the details on the other side of the lovely ceramics tumbler. The artist is 'Leanne Pizio' in North Carolina. I LOVE her works of art.

Hey, You! Catch ya tomorrow! :)

Before Bed Eating

Eating before bed does not work for me. My belly is burning this morning, my left ear is ringing. Starting tonight, I am returning to eating is before 8:00 PM (exception of fresh fruit if I feel hungry). Herbal tea or water will be ok to ingest. For years I used to eat this way, and the experience was very good. Rather than put myself in a position of feeling like I need to eat something late at night because I had not eaten all day or for many hours, I am working at eating in late afternoon or early evening. The longer overnight fast is most beneficial overall. It is beneficial to fit in 24 hour plus fasts between eating.

Busy Day

Eating started at 9:30 AM this morning with a tall glass of water mixed with 3 ounces of fresh juiced lemon. (Yes, imperial dates me. Although here in Canada we still post imperial and metric measurements in our grocery stores bulk sales and on labels. Find here is a metric conversion site if you really need to know the measurement in metric.

Afterwards I had a bowl of bosc pear, pistachios, grapes and kiwi topped with bee pollen. Read about some health benefits of this delicious pistachio nut. Buy it raw and preferably in the shell.

Lunch time didn't happen until 3:30 PM. I finished the salad from last night, and added a couple of falafels which were sensational!! wow! They are made of sprouted garbonzo beans(chick peas), sunflower seeds, almonds, red onion, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, Nama Shoyu, garlic and curry powder. The recipe is from RAWvolution by: Matt Amsden, a fellow Canadian who lives in L.A. and has an online meal order by the week, catering to the U.S. States. I also drank half a glass of coconut water.

Hours passed before I actually got hungry during shopping for food supplies. I didn't grab anything to eat at that time though. This whole blog is turning out to be an unexpected experiement and is quite revealing to me about my eating habits for sure. It was 9:30 PM before I decided to actually eat, I was genuinely hungry. What I really wanted to do was leave eating until morning. It felt like the best thing to do was to eat something. You remember that frozen dessert I am working on? Well I buzzed some through the juicer topped it with frozen blueberries also through the juicer. The almond coconut blend turned out to be the smoothest creamiest textured dessert I ever have tasted. It is very very good and I want to improve upon it. Adding in the blueberries was, ah, ok.

Ate an orange half an hour later. hmmmm I am wanting to cut out late night eating unless I plan on staying up LATE into the night.

I made some sunflower pate this evening… will share about that tomorrow… also will share about the crackers I will be preparing tomorrow. They were scheduled to be made today and I forgot to soak the whole flax seed. Most nuts and seeds need to be soaked to release enzyme inhibitors. If you grind them in a blender before using, soaking can be by passed.

REMEMBER TO SOAK THE NUTS AND SEEDS!
